Services

Conditions That We Treat

Sport or Gym Injuries

Injuries sustained during or following any sport can be assessed and further managed by physiotherapy.

Geriatric conditions

As we age so does our joints and muscles. The things that we were so easily able to do before become more difficult and sometimes painful.

Acute and chronic joint or muscular pain

Any joint or muscle discomforts following a recent injury, overuse or you are not quite sure of the cause.

Pre and post-operative care

Rehabilitation following your surgery is vital in speeding up your recovery. Physiotherapy before your surgery is just as important to prevent muscle wasting.

Respiratory conditions

Chest physiotherapy is essential to optimize your lung function following respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, pneumonia, or asthma to prevent further complications.

Neurological conditions

Symptoms that follow neurological conditions consist of muscle weakness and impaired movement. Following a detailed assessment, a specific exercise regime will be provided.

Temporomandibular disorder

Painful jaws caused from grinding and clenching your teeth can lead to jaw joint stiffness and difficulty opening your mouth. The physiotherapist can assist in loosening the muscles surrounding the jaw.

Headaches

Symptoms of tension headaches include discomfort in the face, neck, and shoulder area; sensitivity to light and load noises; and feeling of pressure behind the eyes. Physiotherapy provides you with the correct exercises to do and manual therapy.

Sinusitis

If you have been complaining of facial pain, nasal congestion, nasal discharge, throat irritation and coughing physiotherapy can help you. Treatment of sinusitis in the early stages facilitated drainage of mucous, reduces swelling and manages pain.

Physiotherapists assess, diagnose, and treat physical conditions related to movement, injury, or disability. They use techniques like exercise therapy, manual therapy, and education to improve mobility, reduce pain, and aid recovery.

In many cases, no—you can book directly with a physiotherapist (depending on your country/health system). However, some insurance plans or specific conditions may require a referral.

Some techniques (e.g., manual therapy or rehab exercises) may cause temporary discomfort, but physiotherapists aim to minimize pain. Always communicate your pain levels during sessions.

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the area being treated (e.g., shorts for knee issues, a tank top for shoulder problems).

Yes! Physiotherapists use pain management strategies like exercises, education, and modalities to improve function and reduce chronic pain.
